Welcome to spring / summer 2009!
A warm welcome to the North West's Premier Fishery, So far this year we have reached several milestones in the fisheries development, A FORTY POUND ONE OUNCE Common Carp being one of them, this fish has been verified and witnessed by ten people including the fishery staff, as a result we are thrilled (not to mention the guy who caught the fish).... Would you beleive it, the same fish came out a few weeks later at 40lb 14oz, a sign of positive growth in the main lake (especially now the Bream have gone!)
Secondly, one of our budding anglers, Rachel has set the standard for many anglers with this beauty at 31lb from Peg 89!:
We have had good reports from our specimen trout lake despite initial scepticism, the lake is deep and the fish are big, 7 - 10lb and in tip top condition, get on while the weather is good!
Pendle View was taken over by the Harnick family almost two years ago and we have seen the venue go from strength to strength, last year we held the thirty club for those who caught a 30lb plus fish, now, well I guess we are going to have to have a forty club!
Pendle View consists of our main lake with the obvious stock of carp including some new ones stocked after we purchased the fishery from the previous owners, we also have a brand new trout lake that opened this month (April 09) to compliment our existing and renowned trout lake where a bite is always on the cards, we have a match lake that has been topped up with fish we removed from the specimen lake such as skimmers, bream and tench. Heck we have even seen Perch come out to over three pounds!
The site has showers, clean toilets and food facilities.... We also have chalet accommodation available to book, these chalets have room for keen anglers who want to bring the family (or friends) and both open up into the prolific shallow end of the specimen lake, the chalets are accessible and secure with excellent views of the Pendle Countryside!....
With all the fish that are coming out and now the "Biggie" why not treat yourself to a session on the view? We are sure you will not be disappointed! Pegs can be prebooked and we even have a tackle shop on site and we are a stones throw from Clitheroe, Preston and The historic Ribble Valley. Not to mention the famous Pendle Hill greets you when you walk through the gate.
We are proud to be part of this wonderful and exciting fishery and we think you will be just as excited as we are when you come fishing!
