Fishing Report 11th November, 2007

Brrr.....they say its going to be minus 4 tonight. I have just left the fisheries and there are some brave souls staying with us overnight. Our carp scene has just livened up so I guess the really serious guys are out there doing what they like best. Here is the fishing report.

Main Lake (Carp)
Well I have already told you that we saw a lovely specimen 38lber come to the banks this week which was caught by Mark Bowdler from peg 89. The following carp were also caught. 2lb 8oz crusion, 15lb 8oz common, 15lb 4oz common, 25lb mirror, 20lb ghostie, 8lb mirror, 7lb common, 9lb common, 18lb common, 15lb mirror, 21lb common, 16lb koi. Duncan and Robert McIntosh had a great session with us over the weekend when they landed 29lb 15oz common, a 15lb mirror and a 21lb common. They decided to try our new tutti fruti boilies which we have just launched.

Main Lake (Pleasure)
Catches this week have been averaging about 15lb bags. Maggot and caster have been the most successful bait. Alan Sudbury emailed on Tuesday to say he had a great day and landed a nice 20lb bag of silvers mostly made up of roach and perch.

Doughnut Lake (Pleasure)
Just a few brave souls have fished this lake and have found conditions hard. Nat Cunliffee of Accrington said he enjoyed his session on Wednesday and landed quite a few roach. Maggot seems to have been the best bait this week.

Fly Lake
Buzzer, Fritz and Montanna have done really well this week. Here are the averages for the week.
Monday 7.0
Tuesday 3.1
Wednesday 7.7
Thursday 5.0
Friday 1.6
Saturday 2.6

E. Jones of Preston caught 10 fish on a 3 hour ticket
R. Lewis of Blackburn caught 11 fish on a 6 hour ticket
W. Steel of Great Harwood caught 18 fish on a 3 hour ticket
A. Farror of Nelson caught 7 fish on a 2 hour ticket

GENERAL
Sorry I still cannot tell you when the sale of the fisheries will take place. Apparently these things take time.

Lastly can the angler who was speaking to our bailiff called Dave (and who fished peg 61/62 this weekend) please email me. Dave has a feeling you came from Durham.

Well folks thats all for now. Keep safe and warm.

best wishes
