Fishing report ending 28th Jan

Hello everyone, here is the fishing report for this week. It has been a hard week, with the frost coming and going, still some wind and the temperatures up and down a bit.

Doughnut lake (pleasure).
Mr Liversey was fishing maggot on float and loose feeding maggot and ended the day with 45 fish. His son was fishing the long pole with the same tactic and catching steadily all day. Silvers are showing really well to loose feed and caster.

Main lake (pleasure).
The people that did brave fishing struggled, with the frost sending the fish in to deeper water, but with little showing. Just small bags to report - the biggest bream out was a mere 3lb 5oz and the silvers that were seen were coming mostly to pinkies and loose feed over caster. All fishermen seemed to be having to work for their bites.

Main lake (Carp).
Just 1 fish to report - a 5lb koi carp which fell to a halibut pellet cast to a 40 yard spot where a couple of fish were showing.

Fly fishing
The trout fishing has been on fire with a trout fisherman catching over 50 trout using a cats whisker and buzzers on a floating line. A slow figure of eight retrieve also seems to be working best at present.
The averages for the week are:

Monday 6
Tuesday 4
Wednesday 4.1
Thursday 9
Friday 0
Saturday 11.7
Sunday 2.8
