Fishing report week ending 18th November, 2007
Hello everyone hasn't the weather gone cold. We have had a few brave souls that have come to fish this week. Here is the fishing report.
Fly Lake
Another fantastic weeks sport. Mr. Street caught 16 fish on a 3 hr ticket using Zonkers. Many other anglers caught lots of fish, e.g. 12 fish, 14 fish, 10 fish. All of these were caught on either damsels, zonker or buzzer. The averages for the week looked pretty decent as well.
Monday 2.6
Tuesday 3.9
Wednesday Windy day no anglers
Thursday 2.0
Friday 11.3
Saturday 5.1
Main Lake (Carp)
I cannot believe what a poor week it was this week with only one carp brought to the banks. A 7lb mirror is all I have to report. I have been speaking to lots of anglers and they think its the fact that the weather has gone really cold. What a different to last week when we had quite a few decent carp caught.
Main Lake (Pleasure)
Quite a few anglers have emailed me and said that they have caught some decent fish this week. Most catches according to our records have averaged 15-20lb bags. Perch have been showing well this week and maggot has been the most successfull bait.
Doughnut Lake (Pleasure)
Pegs 122 and 108 have been the most successful pegs this week and have yielded 15lb to 20lb bags. Danny Wilder of Accrington said he had quite a good day on Tuesday fishing peg 122. He said he caught some lovely silvers and had a very stress free day.
GENERAL
The solicitors are still doing their bit and we do not have a hand over date for you as yet. Dave Harnick the new owner said he is all packed up and cannot wait to take over the operation. It was really weird the other day when I was on site. I had just had a meeting with Dave Harnick the new owner and just as he was leaving the chap we bought the fisheries from in the first place (Peter Brooks) came to see how we were doing. It must be six years since he visited site. He said we had done a wonderful job and could see we had made lots of changes. If he had left his visit till after Christmas we may not even have been there. Well folks thats all for now. Not many shopping days left till Christmas so don't forget our gift vouchers.
best wishes
