Fishing report week ending 29th December, 2007
Hello everyone,
I do hope that you all had an excellent Christmas. Well the weather has been really bad over the holiday and I am glad to say that a few brave souls managed to come and fish with us.
In general terms we only had two carp come to the bank. One was a 16lb and the other was an 8lb carp. Having said that young Dave Harnick one of the owners said he could lots of carp up in the shallows.
Both the Doughnut Lake and the Main Lake have fished really well and some anglers have emailed me to say that they have had bags ranging from 10lb to 15lb.
The fly lake has fished exceptionally well with some very high averages.
Monday 10
Tuesday No anglers
Wednesday 7.3
Thursday 9.5
Friday 3.4
Saturday 1.2
We had some great catches this week with anglers catching 19, 15, 11 trout in 2 and 3 hour fishing sessions. Bloodworm, and buzzers have worked really well.
As you can see I am still doing the email reports and will be doing so for a week or so more. Philip and I are trying to hand over the reins of running the fisheries to the new owners as smoothly as possible. Philip and I are delighted to see that the Harnick family have quickly got into the saddle so to speak and really seem to be enjoying their new experience. The youngest member of the family Rachel is already starting to catch the trout for the public trout sales and she is also becoming really good and taking food orders and speaking to our many customers.
On behalf of all the owners, the staff and the previous owners we would all like to wish all our customers
A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR......THE HARNICK FAMILY LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU ONTO THEIR BANKS IN 2008
best wishes
Lin
