Fishing report weekending 9th December, 2007

Hello everyone,

Well the take over has taken place and the Harnicks are now the proud owners of Pendle View Fisheries. I have been asked if I would just do the fishing reports and maintain the web site for a couple of weeks until the Harnicks get the feel of things like settling into the house etc. So I am afraid that you are stuck with me for another week or so.

We have asked Lisa and Ryan if they will stay on for a couple of weeks and show the Harnicks the ropes and they have agreed to do so. Lisa and Ryan have found themselves a nice house in Huncoat near Accrington. Yesterday was a funny old day because we had to say good bye to Kyle and Dave who have been with us for a couple of years. The Harnicks have also asked Dawn (our weekend lady) could she stay on till they get organised.

So on with the fishing report.

Fly Lake
Sunday 3.7
Monday 5.0
Tuesday 12

Thursday 20
Friday 6
Sunday 10.9
White fritza, bloodworm and egg are working at the moment. We have had some terrific catches this week. D. Bramley caught 29 trout on half day ticket, including two 6lb fish one 5lb fish, and one 4lb 8oz fish. G. Newman caught 14 trout on a 4 hour ticket.P. Morrall caught 18 trout on a two hour ticket. Lee McConkie caught 18 trout on a three hour ticket.

Main Lake
Not many anglers fished with us last week because of the awful weather conditions. Dave Rothwell and Kyle (our bailiffs) did stay overnight fishing with us and caught two carp, but apparently they were not very big chaps.

Doughnut Lake
Some small bags have been recorded but they were averaging only 5 -10lbs. This was due to weather conditions.

Main Lake
Some brave souls did manage to fish the main lake and bags recorded have been averaging 10 - 15lbs. We had a friendly match on the main lake on Sunday when 30 chaps (and one lady) enjoyed some sport. It was a freezing day and the winner caught a bag of 11lb 6oz. Some nice big perch were caught during the match and an angler from Wigan said he had a lovely 2lb 2oz perch.

Well folks thats all for now.
best wishes

Lin from Pendle View
