Fishing report for week ending 7th January, 2007

Hello everyone,

Is it nearly summer yet? Sorry but I much prefer the warmer weather. I have just been speaking to Dave Harnick and he said that the weather has been awful today - lots of rain and the fishing has been slow.

The main lake has produced a couple of small commons along with a 16lb mirror. Some anglers have recorded bags of up to 20lb with some nice bream and roach showing. There have been some nice 3lb perch and roach recorded.

The Doughnut Lake records show that not many anglers have decided to fish this lake and in preference have chosen to fish the main lake.

The fly lake again has done very well indeed with some anglers catching 16, 17, 23, and 26 fish. One angler caught 29 trout on a two hour session using bloodworm. Here are the averages.

Monday 1.7
Tuesday 3.7
Wednesday 5.0
Thursday 1.6
Friday 8.5
Saturday 12.6
Sunday 5.1

Hope you are all well and keeping away from those winter bugs.

best wishes
