The main (specimen) lake.
THE MAIN COARSE LAKE (Around 9 acres)
The main lake at Pendle View is fed by streams which come down from the
nearby hills and has depths which range from a few feet just off the bank
to around
14 feet in the middle of the lake. There is a channel which runs down the
centre of the lake from the two inlets at the top end of the fishery to
the overflow weir.

Now the lake has been taken over we are concentrating on improving the fishing and the experience by doing the following:
- Re Pegging
- Creating Habitat including lilly pads
- Looking at netting
- Developiong a stocking program
The main lake is stocked with Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, Gudgeon
and Eels. Regulars to the water say there are also Chub and possibly some good sized
Barbel which have a reputation for giving a good account of themselves before
coming to the net.
So far this year carp in excess of 37lb have fallen to a variety of methods... Please see the gallery for the full facts...
The main lake is very popular so it is advised to call the office before you set off to see what is happening on site,
