At this fishery we care about:
- Our Fish
- Our Customers
- Our Site
- Our Business
- Our Environment
- Our Future
To protect the above is also your responsibility as a guest, rules are in place to keep the fish safe, keep you safe and prevent environmental problems such as disease which, because we are connected to local rivers (including the Ribble), could be devastating to the local eco system for miles around...
TOP TIPS - We have consulted some of the leading carp anglers to bring you the top ten carp fishing tips when fishing anywhere, not just PV.....
1. Never leave your rods unattended, this is dangerous to the fish, illegal and silly. Be responsible!
2. Always switch off your alarm before adjusting your indicator, the fish can sense the vibrations down the line!
3. At night only switch on a torch when required, fish will know you are there and become less confident!
4. Make sure you are quiet, too much noise will spook the fish!
5. Keep your peg organised so you can find everything quickly, Scales etc should be ready in seconds!
6. Don't bang in your bivvy pegs with a hammer, try turning the peg as you push down to ensure a firm hold!
7. Don't get drunk, alcohol is allowed but must be drunk with care, people will be asked to leave if we feel there is a problem!
8. Don't cast out too much, the fish know a lead when they see it, try fishing as discretely as possible!
9. Fish with a mate and cover more water using a single bait or method to make the fish feed confidently!
10. If in doubt, ASK! The team are here to help and can answer most questions, we can also help set up if you are having difficulty or if you are disabled in any way, call us before you set off and discuss your needs!
As a guest on our site you must read the rules and understand them, barbless hooks are mandatory... Please bear this in mind and be advised that...
RIG CHECKING IS BEING ENFORCED!
Please note people come to Pendle View to fish it is not a drinking den or a place to consume illicit substances of any description, by all means have a couple of beers (if you are old enough) but drinking excessively is not tolerated, CCTV is in operation on site and the team have direct links with the Police, unruly behaviour will be dealt with severely!
